New School Jerseys
Many thanks to O'Raghallaighs, Binghamstown for sponsoring our new school jerseys. They brought us good luck as the girls got to the Cumann na mBunscol Division 5 quarter finals in The Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan. Unfortunately, we were beaten by Carrakennedy. The girls played extremely well and we are so proud of them. Comhghairdeas cailíní!
Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion
Well done and congratulations to the children in Second Class who received the sacrament of reconciliation on Thursday. April 28th and made their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 28th. Both were beautiful ceremonies celebrated by Fr. Loftus. The children were brilliant.
Turas Scoile
Junior Infants, Senior Infants, First, Second and Third Class really enjoyed their trip the Belmullet Garda Station on Thursday June 16th while the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class children paid a visit to the Blacksod Lighthouse and Tobar Naomh Deirbhile. They had a delicious meal in Cois Cuain before watching Sing 2 in Belmullet Civic Centre. A wonderful day was had by all.
Sports Day and Ice-cream
The school sports day took place on Friday, June 17th and was a great success. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part. They day was topped off with a visit from Jackie’s Ice Cream Van and Fred the Party Professor.
Sixth Class!
EIGHT years of primary school comes to an end for our three sixth class pupils. We wish them well as they embark on the next step of their educational journey.
Skipathon
The schools sponsored skipathon will take place this coming Friday, June 24th. Each family has a sponsorship card. Many thanks for your support.

Farewell & Thank you Fr. John Loftus
We wish Fr. John all the best as he prepares for his move to Ballycastle parish. He will be greatly missed. We say farewell but not goodbye as we hope he will continue to visit us whenever possible. Míle buiochas as gach rud atá déanta agat dúinn.
What a Year!
As the school year draws to an end we would like to thank you all for your support this year. We hope you can join us for our Sixth Class Graduation/ Prize Giving Ceremony/ End of Year Blessing/Farewell to Fr. John this Friday, June 24th @12 pm in the school hall.
The children really enjoyed the workshop with Alma Jordon from the Farm Safe Schools programme. The Farm Safe Schools programme provides children with key knowledge and skills that could save a life on a farm.
National Confidence Day March 24th 2022

Ceiliúradh Lá Féile Phádraig
Well done and congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Binghamstown. They did a fantastic job at representing the school. We all had great fun. The talented pupils won an award for “Most Current Topic” with our theme “Renewable Energy”.

Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week took place on Sunday 23 January. The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2022 was ‘Catholic Schools: Living Life to the full’. The children really enjoyed all the activities associated with Catholic Schools Week.

Christmas Celebrations 2021
We had a very special visitor on Friday, December 17th. He made a socially distanced visit to greet all the wonderful boys and girls who have been so good this year. We had a fantastic day

First Holy Communion 2021
The children in Third Class made their First Holy Communion on Saturday, September 18th in St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane with celebrant Fr John Loftus. This was a special day in the lives of the children, their families, our school, and the parish. Congratulations to all the children.
Confirmation 2021
A huge well done to all the children who made their Confirmation on Friday, October 15th in St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane with Bishop John Fleming and celebrants Fr. Loftus and Fr. Hegarty. They did themselves, their schools, and their families proud. It was a fantastic celebration for all involved. All their hard work over the last few difficult months paid off! We wish them well as they continue their faith journey.
Halloween Fun
Both teachers and students had a great time at our spooktacular Halloween disco before the Halloween break.
